Tropical Locations

SORBET BUTLERS AND FACTORY CHIC COME TOGETHER IN NEW TROPICAL LOCATIONS LUXURY PROGRAMME

An imaginative selection of new hotels from Tropical Locations entices the discerning traveller with everything from sorbet butlers to sculpture gardens. If you’re convinced you have been there and done that, this latest brochure shows it’s time to think again.

Luxury travel connoisseurs are always keen to freshen their palates with a new experience.  The 2008 brochure from upmarket holiday specialists Tropical Locations has a sumptuous menu of recently opened hotels in Thailand, Bali and the Indian Ocean, Hong Kong, Morocco and Oman.

There are more than 30 new additions to the new programme, which now features a total of 164 luxury properties.  No less than seventeen of the new additions have opened within the last fifteen months – and several have opened only at the start of this year.  Hand-picked by the TL team, all are branded into Chic, Boutique and Unique categories to give a clear idea of their individual appeal.

Thailand with its year around charms, Bali with its rich, easily accessible culture and the paradise resorts of The Maldives are especially important to Tropical Locations. Below is just a selection of the brand new additions to the 2008 programme :

*Style-seekers will savour the recently opened Kayana on Bali where the 24 elegant pool villas combine minimalist design with traditional Balinese décor. These are peaceful, comfortable havens from which you can venture to the resort’s Ayur Spa and be pampered to within an inch of your life by skilled therapists. Prices start from £1230 for 7 nights including flights and transfers.

*Nurture your romance at the Koh Samet Paradee Resort, the only one in Thailand with beaches on the east and west coasts.  Koh Samet is one of the lesser known Thai islands, and just a two hour drive from Bangkok, it is a perfect twin centre choice.  Each charming villa has a thatched roof, cathedral ceiling bedroom, private swimming pool and spa and a butler on hand to attend to your every need. Prices from £1735 per person including flights and transfers.

*Opening in March 2008, the Beach House on the Maldivian island of Manufaru has been designed with the most exceptional attention to detail. There’s even a Sorbet Butler who dispenses refreshing sorbet to thirsty guests. Plus it has two additional private islands, one for intimate dinners, and another for jet-skiers.

*Break from tradition at the Indigo Pearl Resort on Phuket – another brand new opening for Thailand where the striking hotel design was inspired by a Thai factory from 100 years ago.  Wonderful modern sculpture and found industrial art are dotted around this former plantation to create a strange but alluring landscape. Rooms, villas and pool pavilions all combine surreal design with comfort. Prices start from £1349 per person including flights and transfers.
