A site that is now frequently referred to, particularly following the outbreak of SARS last year , and Bird Flu in 2004. This is one of the foremost authorities on health matters throughout the world, and can usually be relied upon for factual, no nonsense practical advice and suggestions. www.who.int/en

Airlines
We all have our different views of the qualities of airlines, and their seat and in flight comfort. Some offer amazing consistency irrespective of route, whilst with others the much hyped levels of service on business/ leisure routes such as New York/Boston seems to fall short of expectations on those routes where leisure alone is the mainstay such as the Caribbean. Refer to www.airlinequality.com for interesting comments and review. Please note some of the service levels/seat sizes may vary from route to route, but these can be used as guide. The Caribbean again seems to suffer on seat sizes (with the exception of Barbados) which might suggest no one from the airlines has actually measured some of the clients

UK Foreign Office advice
Another site that is now used more frequently, as it contains updated a specific county advice on security and health matters, as well as tips on local customs. Highly recommended reading, before you book , and then before you travel as the sites are constantly updated. This is particularly relevant if you are travelling to an area where political tensions are known or thought to exist www.fco.gov.uk/travel
