BRAND NEW FAMILY COLLECTION
EDUCATION STARTS WHEN TERM TIME ENDS
Luxury tour operator Tropical Locations has launched a brand new brochure that draws together some of the best family-friendly resorts in the destinations of Arabia, Morocco, Mauritius, the Maldives, the Seychelles, Thailand, Malaysia and Bali. The new Family Collection features activities certain to appeal to both children and adults, from organised kids clubs and specialty restaurants to sumptuous spa facilities and challenging golf courses.
Tropical Locations has taken the lead from their sister company, Kids in the Med, who has seen tremendous growth since its inception in 2005. “Our research has shown us that families want holiday ideas contained within a dedicated brochure”, says Marie-Helene Rodriguez, General Manager, Tropical Locations and Kids in the Med. “They do not want to trawl through 400 pages looking for ideas – they want concise information that they can absorb easily and act on at their leisure.”
Although most destinations make for a superb beach holiday, Tropical Locations has added an extra element of fun and educational activities that are perfect for children and teenagers and are certain to bring out the adult’s inner child. These include:
• visiting a prehistoric forest in Malaysia
• discovering desert dunes in Dubai and Abu Dhabi
• learning to be an elephant trainer in Thailand
• swimming with baby sharks and stingrays in the Maldives
• playing on a real-life film set in Morocco
The new brochure also includes a number of touring combinations within the Far East that are bursting with cultural interest. For example the temples of Angkor in Cambodia are not only the locations from the first Indiana Jones and Tomb Raider movies - they provide a chance to absorb information about the history and architecture of a lost civilisation.
New hotels in the new brochure include Karma Kandara, a luxurious resort that opened in December 2007 on the southern tip of Bali, consisting of forty villas each with a private pool and home theatre system. Also new – opened March 2008 - the Melati Beach Resort & Spa, on the north east corner of Koh Samui. This resort offers a selection of 38 deluxe rooms and 39 villas, some with private plunge pools. There is a kids club for the children and a spa for adults.
